Yesterday, our lives changed in an instant.
Following a major water main rupture near our West Hollywood café, the surrounding streets flooded, a sinkhole opened outside our doors, and our café sustained extensive damage.
Dialog is more than a café. It is where people have celebrated birthdays, gone on first dates, built friendships, watched their families grow, started businesses, and found a place that felt like home.
Most importantly, Dialog is home to roughly 90 people across our team, many of whom have been directly affected by this closure.
We are still learning the full extent of the damage and working through insurance, restoration, and recovery efforts. Our most urgent priority is supporting our team and doing everything we can to bring Dialog back, while exploring a temporary nearby location that could help bring our people back to work sooner.
After so many of you generously asked, “How can we help?”, we decided to create a GoFundMe.
Our initial goal is $500,000. Funds will be prioritized for emergency support for affected team members, immediate cleanup and remediation needs, damaged equipment and essential supplies, unavoidable expenses during the closure, and the work required to restore and reopen Dialog.
If Dialog has ever felt like home to you, we would be honored to have your support in bringing it home again.
