Somewhere along the way, the hobbies turned into passions, the passions turned into careers, and the careers turned into a whole entire lifestyle.

Picking ingredients. Cooking. Creating. Plating. Pouring. Serving. Hosting. Learning. Tasting. Tweaking. Starting over and doing it better.

Working in a kitchen isn’t just clocking in and clocking out. It becomes part of how you think, how you create, how you gather, and how you take care of people.

Rosemary and Fox has become so much more than a restaurant to us. It’s early mornings and late nights. It’s farmers, purveyors, w**e, fire, sharp knives, hot kitchens, beautiful plates, full tables, and a team that puts a little piece of themselves into what they do.

It’s chaotic. It’s exhausting. It’s creative. It’s delicious.

And somehow, we chose this life.

Or maybe it chose us. 🦊

Our w**e list finally feels like Rosemary and Fox.

When we opened our doors in March, we inherited part of the w**e list from the former Jackalope Grill and started building from there. We always knew we wanted to eventually create something that felt completely our own, with more intention, more variety and w**es we were genuinely excited to pour.

And we finally got there.

The Pacific Northwest is a huge part of who we are, so naturally we wanted it to have a strong presence on our w**e list too. From Willamette Valley bubbles and whites to Dundee Hills Pinot Noir, Walla Walla reds and Red Mountain Cabernet, we wanted a list that really showcases what our region can do.

You’ll find names like Corollary Cuvée One, Domaine Divio, Ermisch Cellars, Dusky Goose, Sokol Blosser, Penner Ash, Willamette Valley Vineyards, Mark Ryan and Abeja, alongside thoughtfully selected w**es from France, Italy, Spain, Argentina and beyond.

Our team tasted, learned and shared favorites to create a list that feels elevated without being intimidating and gives you plenty to explore by the glass or bottle.

Because the same intention Chef Josh puts into what goes on the plate should carry through to what’s poured into your glass.

This list took some time, a lot of tasting and a whole lot of heart.

And damn, we’re proud of it. 🍷

Open Tuesday through Saturday, 4 to 9 PM
Happy Hour Tuesday through Friday, 4 to 5:30 PM
Reserve online at www.rosemaryandfox.com

💋Not a side note but rather a separate appreciation:
A huge thank-you to our incredible FOH team, who took the time to taste, learn and execute such an elevated list. And to Heidi, one of our amazing leads, who helped bring it all together, and Kate, who made sure it looks as good as it reads and feels worthy of the w**e connoisseurs who visit us. Please done be too mean if there’s errors lol just let us know so Kate can fix it!! 😂 🙈

“I own a restaurant” sounds pretty straightforward until you actually own a restaurant. 😂

Chef Josh may technically be a business owner, but that title barely scratches the surface of what he does every single day.

There’s the food, obviously. But there’s also the team, the numbers, the ordering, the problem solving, the fixing, the pivoting, the planning, the quality control and approximately 72 tiny fires that need attention before dinner service even starts.

And today, one of those hats is getting the team together for a tasting of our new fall menu!

We’ve had a few weeks to live with the new menu, listen to feedback, make adjustments, fine tune dishes and get everything exactly where we want it. Menus are always evolving a little, and it’s important to us that our team gets to actually taste the food they’re talking about and serving every night.

Plus, they work so incredibly hard, so getting to sit down, taste all the yumminess and be treated a little is VERY deserved.

And somewhere in there, Josh is also a husband and a dad.

Rosemary and Fox may have Chef Josh behind the food, but there are A LOT of hats underneath that chef coat.

And yes, being Kate’s husband absolutely deserved its own title. Possibly his most challenging position to date. 😂

Our food has intention behind every detail. From the ingredients Chef Josh chooses, to how each dish is prepared, to how it finally lands on your table.

So naturally, our w**e list deserves that same energy.

Over the last few months, we’ve had some amazing w**e reps come in and spend time with our team tasting, smelling, learning, and discovering w**es that could pair beautifully with Chef Josh’s food. Tough job, but someone had to do it.

But we weren’t just looking for more w**e to add to the list. We wanted w**es we genuinely felt our guests would love, enjoy, and savor. Wines that are beautiful on their own, complement the intention behind Chef Josh’s dishes, and maybe even introduce you to a new favorite.

And because supporting our region and community is such an important part of who we are, we wanted the Pacific Northwest to have a strong presence throughout the list. You’ll find incredible w**es from the Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills, Red Mountain, Columbia Valley, and Walla Walla alongside some thoughtfully selected bottles from around the world.

One of our team leads, Heidi, collected everyone’s favorites, and now Chef’s wife Kate is putting it all together for our NEW w**e list launching next week!

A little peek at what made the cut:

Corollary Cuvée One Brut
Roger & Didier Raimbault Sancerre
Grgich Hills Chardonnay
Domaine Divio Pinot Noir
Dusky Goose Pinot Noir
Ghost Block Cabernet
Turley Old Vines Zinfandel
Château Louvie Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Plus Ch*****ne, Oregon Pinot, beautiful Washington reds, interesting international bottles, dessert w**es, and zero-proof bubbles.

The goal wasn’t just MORE w**e. It was a more intentional w**e list our team has actually tasted, learned about, and is genuinely excited to pour for you.

Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, with a little exploring beyond it.

New w**e list coming next week to Rosemary and Fox.

Contrary to popular belief, Chef Josh didn’t just wake up one day and decide owning a restaurant sounded fun. He chose this industry DECADES ago. And no, not from a psych ward. 😂 He is apparently 100% sane for wanting this life.

Restaurant life is not for the faint of heart. Long days, physically and mentally demanding work, and then add OWNER, managing a team, running a business, and keeping the creativity flowing on top of it.

Thankfully, we have the best team in the whole freaking universe and Chef Josh keeps coming up with ridiculously delicious food, so that helps. 😂

As Bend heads into the slower months, we’re crossing our fingers and doing our snow dances for winter tourism because small businesses truly NEED you.

Every reservation, walk-in, and “let’s try somewhere local tonight” matters.

Support local when you can. Come try Rosemary and Fox for Happy Hour Tuesday–Friday, 4–5:30 PM. All ages welcome!

You might just stay for dinner too. 😉

We wanted to be intentional about how we could show up for the kids of Silver Rail Elementary, and this felt right.

Because creativity can be so many things.

Art can be a place to create when you don’t have the words. A journal can be somewhere to put your thoughts, draw a picture, dream up an idea, or maybe even write down a recipe because you want to be a chef one day.

A sketchbook might be where you discover that you love to draw. An art project might spark a dream of becoming an artist someday. A sensory toy can give nervous or busy hands something to focus on. And sometimes coloring, creating, writing, or playing doesn’t have to mean anything more than getting to simply be a kid.

That’s what we hope this basket can hold.

Not just supplies, but little opportunities for comfort, creativity, joy, imagination, and hope.

We now have a donation basket inside Rosemary and Fox collecting brand-new, unused:

• Art supplies
• Journals and sketchbooks
• Sensory toys
• Creative activities and supplies

Please make sure all donated items are new and in their original packaging.

There is no official end date. For the next few weeks, and for as long as there is a need, we’ll continue collecting what we can.

Drop your donations in the basket by our host station anytime we’re open, Tuesday through Saturday from 4–9 PM.

Our hope is to keep filling this basket, again and again, for as long as our community keeps showing up for these amazing kids.

For additional questions,
email [email protected] ATT: Kate.

Thank you, Bend, for continuing to show up for one another and reminding our kids that their community is right here beside them.

Owning a restaurant really puts things into perspective.

Every reservation, every walk-in, every celebration, and every “let’s have dinner here” means something to us. There are so many places you could spend your evening, and the fact that you choose our little restaurant is something we will never take for granted.

Especially right now.

Our community is carrying a lot, and we know healing doesn’t happen overnight. We’re trying to move forward with a little more gentleness, a little more grace, and an even deeper appreciation for the people around us.

And part of that is continuing to show up.

Opening the doors. Cooking dinner. Setting the tables. Welcoming familiar faces and new ones. Creating a place where you can gather with your people, share a meal, laugh when you’re ready, breathe when you need to, and find a little bit of normalcy in the middle of everything.

We get to do what we love because you keep showing up, and we are endlessly grateful.

As the evenings get colder, our courtyard is slowing down, but we still have warm heaters and plenty of blankets for anyone who wants to enjoy it.

This Tuesday, we hope to ease back into routine, gently.

To find moments to breathe and reflect.
To explore.
To connect.
To sit across the table from someone you love and simply be together.

Bend is a community that shows up. Even through chaos. Even through heartbreak. We find ways to come together, support one another and create little pockets of joy and peace.

As our community continues to hold Silver Rail Elementary in our hearts, find ways to take action and begin to heal, it has been beautiful to see so many spaces throughout Bend opening their doors and creating places for comfort, connection and a little light.

We want Rosemary and Fox to be one of those places.

A place for family and close friends to gather. A place to reflect, laugh, share a meal and end the day around the table together.

Come exactly as you are.

We welcome all ages during Happy Hour, and we have a small kids menu and crayons for our younger guests.

Serving Tuesday–Saturday | 4–9 PM
Happy Hour Tuesday–Friday | 4–5:30 PM

Walk-ins are always welcome when we have room, but reservations are recommended.

Head to rosemaryandfox.com to reserve your table.

We’d love to save you a seat at the table.

Right now, Bend, Oregon needs to:

Gather with the people who bring you joy.

Connect with the people who need you, and the ones you need too.

Breathe. Give yourself a moment to slow down, feel what you’re feeling and simply be.

Love your people a little louder. Hold them a little closer. Give each other a little more grace.

Community is showing up for one another, especially when words don’t feel like enough.

We’re here, Bend.

Rosemary and Fox Family

We do have a kids menu and coloring for any little kiddos wanting to join in some fine dining and good family meal.

Community is at the heart of Rosemary and Fox.

Right now, that heart is hurting.

It feels difficult to simply go back to promoting food and sharing business as usual when so many children, families, educators, and members of our community are grieving and carrying emotions that are incredibly heavy.

Right now, we are taking some time to figure out what our next steps look like and how Rosemary and Fox can support our community in a meaningful way.

For now, we simply want to remind you to breathe. Hug your loved ones a little tighter. Check in on each other. Give yourself permission to feel whatever you are feeling.

There are so many resources and spaces throughout Bend offering support, a listening ear, creativity, connection, and places to find a little peace while we begin to heal.

And our doors are open, too.

If what you need is a table where you can sit with the people you love, share a meal, take a breath, and feel surrounded by community for a little while, Rosemary and Fox is here.

We truly hope today’s heartbreak becomes tomorrow’s action.

May the way Bend shows up today become the way we create change tomorrow.
