Well, looks like summer out there folks. Good time to cruise through for some grub and a couple huckleberry margaritas.
The floodgates are about to open on a beautiful wave of that West Michigan produce Mike never s**ts up about. We are seeing lots of fresh onions around which may as well mean it’s Christmas, cause boy are they a special treat.

HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who spoke at and attended the MI Women in Wine Symposium and Winemaker Dinner on Tuesday. Feeling inspired after hearing so many amazing stories, connecting with powerful women, and bringing that energy to our guests.

Our panel speakers were insightful and each brought a unique view of the Michigan wine industry. There are a lot of excellent women pushing progressive for Michigan wine and we were honored to help bring those women together to celebrate and support them!

Café Mamo is named after Mike’s Grandma. Mike’s mom taught him how to cook. And Mike’s best friend ( also wife and mother of their children) keeps the wheels turning at this place!

Crazy to believe we are coming up on five years at the corner of Sweet and Plainfield, but here we are, fu***ng thriving. We have lots of fun things planned for next month and the rest of the summer, but let’s start it off with some new merch.
We thought it would be fun if both our owners came up with a shirt. So, Summer and Mike had their trusted friends work these up. And printed at as always ❤️

Happy Earth Day to you! Happy Earth Day to you!
Café Mamo loves planet Earth dearly. Everything we do is always approached with the intention of minimal impact and sustainability. We work directly with farmers because it is ethical to do so. We keep working with them, though, because we love them all. It is so exciting to meet and work with a handful of people that tend to Mother Earth and share the bounty with us.
You know what’s not cool? Garbage. War. Violence. Hate. Mother does not approve of those things. They make the Earth sick. All my outdoorsy folks will know the phrase, “Leave this place better than you found it.” At Café Mamo l, the space, team, and community we have built over the last five years have made mother proud!
Anyways, it’s also spring now. And we have real, delicious vegetables for all of you freaks, so come by!

It’s spring around here. It’s whimsical around here. It’s mf fried pork chops around here.
Folks I have good news and great news. The good news is the spring bulbs have Mamo looking like a Disney movie. And the great news is we cooked you all something special, with love :).
We have a big old lovely Pork Milanese with radishes and aioli. We have Chèvre Gnocchi with lamb ragu. We still have yummy deviled eggs. It’s cute as a button around here. Let’s have a bottle of wine, ok?

Seems like a perfect time to get the boys back together!
Come on down Tuesday, April 28th for some good wine and supper. We are putting together a lovely four courses to enjoy alongside and .
This should be a pretty good time since we are using it as an excuse to all hang out, so come hang out! These are two experts in Organic and biodynamic wines, so come ask them loads of questions! Four courses with wine pairing for a $80, quality chat with the winemakers. All to highlight the terroir and bounty of Michigan. Folks, farmers are starting to put crops in the ground. That means the good s**t is on the way!
Until that time, let’s remember that a 70 degree day in March or April doesn’t mean harvest is full on. But that’s what makes this my favorite season, the anticipation. Soon enough we will have more produce than we know what to do with.
We have some comfort dishes on the menu this week. More potatoes, more butter, squeezes of lemon all over the place. Come on in for a tasty time this week.
