A BIT LATE BUT DU’S GRILL IS CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY!
———
I don’t share a lot of personal info on this page. And in general, the really personal things I tend to keep close to the chest. But in my advancing age, I’m learning it’s better to learn to share. And this in particular, as a lot of you knew my father, even if it was just a few words while picking up an order, it seemed selfish to keep to myself. And Memorial Day seemed like an appropriate day to share… my father, Bae Wung Park (or “Peter” to many), passed away about a month ago. Fortunately, his passing was quick and peaceful. Many of you remember him for his affable personality and the way he so effortlessly made you feel welcome the moment you set foot in the store. I know this because I am constantly asked how he is doing since it has been over a decade since he put in regular hours at Du’s Grill. He loved you all just as equally and your unwavering loyalty was never lost on him. Thank you for supporting his business over the years and making him feel remembered and loved. Little known fact: he was literally a week away from becoming a sandwich shop owner before Du’s Grill altered his destiny. And I know, in large part to all of you, he would have chosen this path a thousand times out of a thousand 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
