The first 3 pictures are from May 7th, 2016… 10 years ago today! That was the day Carlos and I officially had our very first Mis Tacones pop-up. What started as a dream has grown into the most special journey of our lives, and looking back at everything we’ve built over this decade feels honestly surreal.

Over the past three years in a row, Mis Tacones has been voted the Best Vegan Mexican Restaurant in the country through real votes from people all across the U.S. in , the world’s largest vegan publication. That kind of support is something we never take for granted.

I’m so grateful for our amazing team! I love that all of you get to experience how incredible they are and how much love, talent, and hard work they pour into this place every single day. They are family to us and they make Mis Tacones an incredibly special place. ❤️

I can’t even begin to express the gratitude I feel for this beautiful community here in Portland and beyond. Your support, belief in us, and constant encouragement have helped shape Mis Tacones into what it is today. We still have so much growing to do, and honestly, the future feels so exciting.

Thank you for showing up for us, believing in us, and helping us build something that means so much to so many people. We love you all so much.

We’ve seen a lot of Portland restaurants & businesses supporting our community during these difficult times, and we wanted to share about our resource 🩷

Mis Tacones started a Pay-It-Forward program in its early days, as a derivative of one we discovered in Oakland CA shoutout to our community member and primx Cell Phone! .biz who started this program with their business and inspired us ❤️❤️❤️

We firmly believe that Trans People of Color & other marginalized communities should never have to worry about having a meal on their table, and we want to give back + redistribute our resources however possible.

Activism has always been an integral part of our work. As a Vegan, Q***r & POC-owned business ourselves, with our collective background in social services, we value intersectionality and bringing that into the restaurant community.

We have folks that use this program weekly, some come and visit, we will always provide meals to those in need, to the best of our abilities.
You can support this program by adding a donation to your order - $5-$20, or more, and every contribution directly feeds our community.

Support other local businesses that help those in need! We love to see it!

🤩Amores! Our popup with is just ONE week away!! On Monday, we got to test out these menu items, and everything was BOMB AF🔥🔥

🥵Y’all aren’t even ready for what we’re cooking up!

Look at this lineup:

🩷tostones nachos (topped with khao soi seasoned soy curls)
🩷a SEXY ensalada (with a ginger-sesame dressing, seaweed salad, pickled cabbage, carne asada, and herbs)

Amorcitos!! 🥰🥰🥰

For our upcoming Ofelia event I will be reciting three new spoken word stories all about my love for las mamis chulos.

Ofelia is a very special event were we want to create beautiful experiences through art making not just with food but through songs and spoken word.

This piece I am sharing with you is dedicated to mi madrecita chula who will be present for our very special event. Tickets are still available on our bio.

• On May 16th, we are excited to be a part of annual fundraising gala, BONE BALL! All proceeds support their incredible work, rescuing and relocating dogs in need. We will be catering this event and there are still tickets available!

Polo and I are exploring Paris for a few days for the first time 🥰🥰🥰 This city is beyond sexy and sooo breathlessly gorgeous 🙌🏾🙌🏾😘😘😘

We found a delicious vegetarian but mostly vegan spot called The staff were soo warm and kind, the food was AMAZING. Everything was prepared beautifully and meticulously. The asparagus, mushrooms, and all veggies were sourced local farms and tasted soo fresh and delicious 🙌🏾😘🥰

Amores!! We are so beyond EXCITED and HONORED to be catering the 2026 Bone Ball with 😍❤️

This incredible organization focuses on rescuing at-risk dogs, connecting them to foster care & forever homes. They’ve been around since 2013, now in multiple US cities, and their mission is one we strongly align with ❤️

Executive Director Juli connected with us to cater their fundraising gala on May 16th, ad we immediately jumped at this collaboration🤩😍

Join us from 5-11 PM for BONE BALL at The Redd on Salmon, a fundraising gala where all proceeds help continue their important work 💕💕

We’ll be bringing the quesadillas, tacos, nachos, and there will be PUPPIES, an open bar, desserts, and more!!
