The Teri Burger is on the board for Memorial Day weekend 🌺🍔

7oz St. Helen’s Beef patty, teriyaki, Tillamook cheddar, red onion, iceberg, tomato, & Balong’s pandesal with curly fries on the side. 

A classic, nostalgic teri burger that reminds us of getting out from school & heading straight to the beach. 🤙🏽 Simple food, little messy, super satisfying!

We really love being able to tell that story here— building this dish around quality, sustainable, & local ingredients like Angus beef from St. Helens Beef, Tillamook cheddar, & freshly baked pandesal from our friends at .balong 🙌🏽 Those details are everything to us.

We’re bringin’ a little island feeling into the long Portland weekend — patio’s open, cocktails are cold, & Alberta Street is poppin’ off.

A Sunday collab dinner menu with Pamana is the kind of spread made for ordering family style— passing plates around, trying a little bit of everything, & hanging out awhile!

We’re really excited to be bringing this menu to life alongside Ethan & Geri— this time inside the beautiful in NW, where they’ve created such a welcoming home in the hotel lobby — cozy energy, signature drinks flowing, good music, & the kind of space you settle into for a night with your squad. We can’t wait to see everyone next weekend!

SAVE THE DATE 🤙🏽 Kau Kau x Pamana — 5/31!

Back in 2024, we had the opportunity to collaborate during Pamana’s days on Alberta Street — creating a menu that really honed in on Filipino & Hawaiʻi flavors, techniques, comfort foods, & all the little details that make cooking from culture feel so personal.🔥Popping up in their food truck was such a fun, meaningful event for both of our teams, so getting to come back together for round 2 feels extra special!

This time, we’ll be joining in the Hoxton kitchen for a one-night-only collaborative dinner rooted in island influence, Filipino flavors, seasonal ingredients, & community. ❤️‍🔥

Since the beginning, Oxtail Monday’s have been pretty special. 🍜 Big pots simmering all morning, familiar faces walking through the door knowing exactly what day it is, Toya’s temomi noodles dropped to order all service long— & the smell of home that fills the room.

What started as a special slowly became part of so many people’s Monday rhythm, & we’ve felt so much love around this bowl from our community! We’re really excited to share what’s next for the saimin specials board this season, but wanted to make sure this one got a proper mahalo on its way out! 🤙🏽

The classic saimin is also on its way out for the season— once it’s gone, it’s gone!

We are really grateful for everybody who’s spent their Mondays with us; calling in early to secure the bowls, brought friends in to experience, & made Kau Kau part of your weekly roundup!

We love to keep a vibrant bar menu built with flavor combinations straight from the islands— made for plate lunches, good company, & gathering with your people.

This week’s specials are bringing the energy, just in time for sunshine on the patio. ☀️

Blood Orange Lilikoi Margarita — juicy blood orange, bright passionfruit, & a tajín + li hing rim that lands sweet, salty, tangy, & bold all at once.

A riff on a classic Paper Plane — chilled, served up, vibrant citrus, silky texture, & that perfect bittersweet finish.

Fresh-squeezed lemonades & limeades are always in the mix too, loaded with rotating tropical flavors, plus a lineup of local brews ready to crack.

For a limited time, we’re pouring an extra special Landmass Sparkling Chenin Blanc ‘24 — women-owned, women-produced, & bursting with nectarine, melon, & strawberry. Inspired by family history in Hawaiʻi & rooted in the Columbia River Gorge, it’s the kind of wine that feels right at home with our menu.
